Primary Responsibilities
- Supports operations in improving production processes and maintaining daily business.
- Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining documents, directing incoming calls, providing reports, and supporting various functions.
- Loads and unloads truck and/or company vehicles.
- Places products in areas identified by customers.
- Completes required documentation in a timely manner.
- Covers inbound scheduling with warehouse, vendors & carriers.
- Validates all inbound product counts and changes to customer orders; communicates these aspects to team members.
- Inputs data into the system, schedules appointments, and tracks expenses.
- Retrieves and reviews daily reports from the system.
- Completes documentation and follows filing procedures.
- Maintains warehouse operations records.
- Answers and directs incoming calls.
- Ensures the accuracy of all vendor receiving documents.
- Collects all documents for inbound freight and routes to proper record-keeping department.
- Operates forklift and hand truck to unload trucks and move product to storage and/or work area.
- Maintains proper labels/tickets and packing on all outbound shipments.
- Observes security policies and procedures at dock doors/receiving area.
- Scans in every box received into inventory and reports issues to management.
- Participates in inventory and cycle counting.
- Charges all lumper and late fees to inbound truck vendors and sells pallets for profit.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
- Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job.
- Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills.
- Able to work reliably from verbal and written instructions.
- Able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift.
- Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry.
- Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as Forklift operation.
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
