Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, document incoming produce shipments accurately, verify quality and purchase order conformity, and promptly report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory data by recording and correcting product logging information, managing inventory levels, and organizing products.
- Perform receiver operating standards and processes in compliance with company policies and regulations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers and the food warehouse team to ensure efficient handling of materials, accurate and timely fulfillment of food orders, and adherence to food safety and quality standards.
- Cookware and coordinate with departments to facilitate timely delivery of materials, optimizing workflow and interdepartmental cooperation.
- Adhere to receiving procedures, including proper labeling, sorting, and organization of items, following storage and inventory protocols.
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks for efficient movement of goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area and food warehouse, promoting a safe and hygienic environment.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to inventory rotation principles, such as First-In-First-Out (FIFO).
- Optimize warehouse layout, organization, and workflow to enhance productivity.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices for improved performance.
Qualifications
- Experience in receiving or forklift operations is preferred.
- Previous equipment operation experience, such as pallet jack and forklift, is preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using common software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and office software.
- Service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent attention to product details and ability to follow instructions, procedures, and company policies.
- Ability to prioritize daily assignments based on supervisor instructions or schedules.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
- Good manual dexterity for the use of processing equipment such as a box cutter.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and ensure quality standards are met.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 lbs or more with appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as required to perform job duties.
Working Conditions
- This job is performed in a production environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors associated with food production.
