Warehouse Receiver- 2nd and 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Receiving shipments: Check and verify incoming goods against shipping documentation, such as packing slips or purchase orders.
• Inspection: Examine goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues to management or vendors.
• Recording inventory: Accurately enter received goods into the warehouse's inventory management system.
• Labeling and organizing: Label received goods and store them in their proper locations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and packers, to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Returns handling: Process returns or exchanges of defective or incorrect items.
• Safety compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during receiving and storing goods.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail
• Basic math skills
• Computer proficiency for inventory systems
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to handle various tasks
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Physical requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand, and climb
• Warehouse environment: Work around forklifts, pallet jacks, and racking
• Ability to stand or walk for an entire 8-hour shift
• Non-climate-controlled environment: Temperatures vary with seasons
