Warehouse QC Associate
About the role
Supports the day-to-day operations while reporting returns, transfers, shortages, and credits. Responsible for other aspects of warehouse functions as needed, including stocking shelves, inventory reconciliation, and preparing product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test screening for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
Responsibilities
- Report returns, transfers, shortages, and credits
- Stock shelves and reconcile inventory
- Prepare product for customer delivery
- Maintain warehouse safety and order
- Identify product by size, type, style, color code/SKU
- Read and match orders without error on shipping tickets
- Manually enter correct catalog numbers
- Operate inventory control equipment (e.g., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices)
- Perform data entry with attention to detail
- Obtain certification for power-truck equipment
- Climb ladders for top-level selection when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (warehouse, distribution, or customer service experience preferred but not required)
- Basic math and reasoning skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card (delivery driver experience is desirable but not necessary)
Physical Requirements
- Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted (occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds)
- Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
- 75% of time spent standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Pay
Entry positions start at $16.25 per hour with weekly pay.
Schedule
1st shift, Monday through Friday with minimal overtime (Saturday morning work required only a few times a year).
