Warehouse Person, PM, Industrial Maintenance, Lakeland

Description

Cleaning warehouse, restrooms, offices, outside areas or trailers
Dumping trash and picking up damaged product
Operating and maintaining the sweeper/scrubber
Operating powered industrial equipment to load or unload trailers and move pallets or merchandise to designated areas
Preparing paperwork
Setting up the receiving dock
Sorting pallets, product or equipment
Sweeping and mopping floors
Aiding in other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Successfully complete a Work Attitude Survey (WAS2)
• Obtain and maintain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before start date)
• Use cleaning chemicals and powered industrial equipment that require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Lift a minimum of 65 pounds
• Handle and prioritize a variety of tasks and responsibilities
• Work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Stack product of varying weights
• Bend, stoop, and twist
• Sit, stand, and do repetitive work for long periods of time
• Read, write, identify, and verify numbers
• Work under strict time requirements
• Interpret, understand, and follow instructions
• Work well with others and be a team member
• Show obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
• Show commitment to Publix and our mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Industrial Maintenance associate
