Warehouse Pallet Sorter Night Shift

About the role

Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Pallet Sorter, you will empty return trailers from store deliveries of empty pallets, totes, and cardboard bales.

Responsibilities

• Sorting through returned packaging and move to proper place in warehouse
• Unloading returned trailer-truck's cargo hold of returned pallets, totes, and cardboard bales
• Sorting pallets, totes, and cardboard bales according to truck, color, and destination
• Recording data regarding amount and type of returned packaging
• Loading packaging onto appropriate trucks according to vendor
• Cleaning work area at the end of each shift

Skills

• Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
