Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Pallet Inspector at our warehouse manufacturing facility in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products handled: Pallets. Equipment: Sit-Down Forklift. The role supports distribution across the US in various construction, building, carpentry, manufacturing, warehouse, skilled and semi-skilled labor positions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards.
• Manually lift 70lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; in addition lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizing the palamatic machine.
• Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met.
• Conduct physical inventories as required.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
• Wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to comprehend basic math.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possesses a high degree of initiative.
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Be a team player.
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
