About the role
The hourly pay rate starts at $19.10, with a progression plan that rewards skill development and mastery of job functions. We are looking for a Warehouse Packaging Technician to join our Nutrition & Health team in Bishop, TX.
Responsibilities
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and general housekeeping guidelines
- Package active pharmaceutical ingredients and chemical intermediates in accordance with all site procedures and GMP
- Perform logistics activities including loading and unloading drums and super sacks from trailers, all necessary paperwork required to ship materials and safe operation of fork trucks
- Ensure standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high-performance team-based organization
- Train new employees on unit activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Fork truck driving experience preferred
- Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift on an as-needed basis
- Able to lift up to 50lbs, wear a respirator and other physical activities
- At least 6 months of packaging experience in an FDA or ISO regulated environment
- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to change; are results driven, detail oriented, dependable, and safety conscious
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Possess good understanding of ISO, GMP, and FDA guidelines, and operating PLC experience (preferred)
