- $31/hour average (after training); compensation is performance-based and results drive earning potential

About the role
Warehouse associates are the foundation of our company’s success. As a Selector, you will select and move product between the loading dock and the warehouse and within the warehouse, utilizing company-provided equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, tuggers, and carts. You will select cases and other containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems, place items on pallets, and move completed orders to the loading dock staging area.
Responsibilities
- Review work schedule, obtain supplies, and prepare for operations
- Perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and ensure all safety devices are functioning properly
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear
- Operate pallet jack along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets
- Manually place appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks
- Use single and/or double pallets as directed
- Transport completed palletized customer orders to shipping dock staging area
- Shrink-wrap pallets for staging as required
- Remove and recharge batteries, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift
- Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines
- Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures
- Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to work scheduled/assigned shifts, including required overtime
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull product weighing 10–35 lbs. regularly and up to approximately 60–100 lbs. (location dependent)
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer)
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period
- Ability to complete required training independently
