Warehouse Order Selector

About the role

Warehouse Order Selectors work in Sysco warehouses and play a crucial part in the foodservice supply chain. They are responsible for picking orders for delivery to foodservice venues in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Operating an electric pallet jack, and/or forklift to pick, pack, and move products.
• Palletizing and organizing products to build customer orders.
• Developing transport schedules, methods, and routes.
• Analyzing and projecting transportation costs.
• Maintaining, loading, packing, and driving vehicles.
• Evaluating, selecting, and managing relationships with external transport providers.
• Acquiring and managing fleet vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Frequent lifting of product weighing between 10 lbs and 100 lbs.
• Frequent reaching up to 72 inches.
• Constant bending and twisting while operating equipment.
• Working in very extreme temperatures (cooler and/or freezer).
• Standing for 10-12 hours daily.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year relevant work experience.
• 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift.
• 1 year of warehouse, military, or physically active job experience.
• 1 year selection experience.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.

Skills

No college degree or previous warehouse experience required.

Pay

Base pay is $25.74/hour. Potential every week to earn over $43/hour with productivity and accuracy incentives.

Schedule
