About the role

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products being handled include medical supplies. This role supports distribution across the US.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $32.25 per hour

Schedule

• First Shift: Sunday - Tuesday, 4:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Wednesday: 6 hours (rotating shifts: 4:00 am - 10:00 am or 10:00 am - 4:00 pm)

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license/certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must follow health and safety methods
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
