Warehouse Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a Sheller Operator to manage the day-to-day operations of the shelling plant during the designated shift. The ideal candidate will be a safety-conscious individual capable of managing daily plant machinery and performing technical adjustments.

Position Responsibilities

• Ensure all machines are operating properly and adjust throughout their shift as needed.
• Hourly checks at the machinery, including Cleaner, Gravities, Electric Eyes, Hammer Mill, and Hull House.
• Blow out intake screens and ripple deck screens hourly or as needed.
• Change shelling grates and bars as necessary.
• Maintain proper speed rate at the Cleaner.
• Responsible for pre-operational inspections and shelling equipment startup.
• Comply with all Olam Peanut Shelling Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPS), Preventative Control Rules, and Occupational Safety Rules.
• Work closely with maintenance personnel to assure that machinery and equipment are in compliance with all sanitary and Safe Food operating conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• A High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Prior shelling experience/peanut experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift driving certification preferred.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from high distances off the ground.

This role is performed on site at a facility that regularly processes peanuts.
