Warehouse Operator- 3rd Shift - $21.50/hr. + $1.00/hr. Shift Differential

About the role

As a warehouse operator you will be responsible for two areas within the warehouse, Order Processing and Forklift Operation. Order Processing involves the accurate selection of products to fill customer orders and deliver these products to the shipping dock in a manner that meets company standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The employee is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled and must be available to work scheduled hours to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of damage-free products are palletized and prepared to ship.
• Transport pallets to wrapping/shipping locations as necessary.
• Ensure proper labeling is placed on all orders.
• Perform sorting, wrapping, packing, and other miscellaneous tasks as required.
• Utilize RF scanners and the WMS.
• Inspect all assigned equipment on a daily basis.
• Train newly hired employees, both permanent and temporary, on tasks, duties, and responsibilities within case picking operations.
• Conduct operations and model behavior that promotes a safe environment.

Requirements

• Must have general computer knowledge (SAP experience a plus).
• Must be able to work overtime (including weekends).
• Preferred 1-2 years Distribution/Warehouse experience.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, not required.
• Warehouse/manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Computer skills, familiarity with electronic scanning devices preferred.
