About the role
The Warehouse Operator 1 plays a crucial part in the brewery's production processes. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role involves tasks such as receiving trucks, loading trucks, providing production support, building partial pallets, conducting inventory counts, and utilizing scanners and the WMS system.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine work for the warehouse, including beer put away, material receiving, loading outbound shipments, building partial pallets, and packaging material staging.
- Utilize warehouse programs, systems, and tools for daily operations such as Yard Manager, Production Switchboard, Phoenix WMS, production schedules, POS warehouse, BOLs, ASNs, and BOMs.
- Operate department forklifts, layer forming tools, pallet wrappers, print and apply stations, squeeze clamp tool, pallet flipper, and forklift battery exchange.
- Adjust material and finished goods inventory, manage FIFO warehousing best practices, and conduct cycle counts using the WMS to improve inventory accuracy.
- Work cross-functionally across departments including Packaging, Quality, Brewing, Brewery Support, Supply Chain, and Supply Chain.
- Contribute to mobile equipment safety program by conducting thorough forklift inspections, escalating safety concerns, interacting with Mobile Equipment Specialists, troubleshooting, diagnosing equipment issues, reporting property damage, and demonstrating ownership until the problem is resolved.

Qualifications
- At least 1 year of powered industrial truck experience within a production, warehouse, or shipping operation.
- Experience with commercial tractor-trailer combination vehicles and the ability to maneuver, park, and back equipment safely in and out of loading/receiving docks.
- Must be able to operate a powered industrial truck with a single-double attachment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to work for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
- Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check.
Additional Requirements to Consider Before Applying
- Must have Forklift Certification within 30 days.
- Must have Yard Goat Certified within 1 year.
