Warehouse Operations Specialist (Mid-Shift)

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The team ensures the efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to shipment, meeting prescribed service parameters for internal and external customers.

About the role

The Specialist, Warehouse Operations trains new and experienced Warehouse Operations Associates on safety, quality control procedures, equipment, and standard tasks. This role leads trainings for new hires, assesses early performance, and provides on-the-job guidance while completing daily warehouse responsibilities.

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • Friday - Monday, 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM
  • Flexibility required for holidays, weekends, and shift changes based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Assists in training new warehouse employees on daily operations, safety, and equipment
  • Shadows new employees to assess performance and provide on-the-job guidance
  • Completes daily warehouse tasks such as receiving or picking materials
  • Prepares shipping documents using FedEx or other software
  • Performs surveys and wipe testing to determine the Transport Index (TI) for outbound product shipments
  • Participates in inventory cycle counting and performs inventory transactions in corporate computer programs
  • Reports errors in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintaining required trainings
  • Demonstrates basic material handling, packaging, and warehouse equipment skills
  • May perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 1-2 years of related pharmaceutical warehousing experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Willing to obtain DOT (Department of Transportation) and IATA (International Air Transport Association) certification within 3 months of hire
  • Forklift experience preferred; willing to obtain PIT authorization within 3 months of hire
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay

  • Anticipated hourly range: $22.30/hr - $28.80/hr
