About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Technician / Operator for full-time work in the Monaca, PA area. The Warehouse position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products. This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Foreman, with duties assigned according to specific procedures and work checked frequently.

This role is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining organized and compliant warehouse processes.

Responsibilities

  • Stores, removes, loads, and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets, and vehicles that cannot be handled by material handling devices
  • Operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Assorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color
  • Moves materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepares for delivery
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items
  • Records material items received or distributed; may maintain inventory records
  • Performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain work area
  • Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming shipments against purchase orders and documentation
  • Accurately picks, packs, and prepares orders for shipment
  • Operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools (as applicable)
  • Maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock checks
  • Labels, stores, and organizes materials in designated locations
  • Loads and unloads trucks safely and efficiently
  • Follows all safety procedures and company policies at all times
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
  • Assists with shipping documentation and inventory management systems
  • Reports damaged goods, discrepancies, or operational issues promptly
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts in warehouse operations
  • Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or operations experience preferred
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (certification a plus)
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Experience with barcode scanners and RF devices preferred
  • Knowledge of shipping carriers and logistics processes preferred
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol, and Contraband Policy
  • Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Physical Involvement

  • Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
  • Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
  • Reaching in all directions
  • Handling and manipulating objects and materials
  • Coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment
  • Lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead
  • Carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.
