Warehouse Night Selector

About the role

This position is responsible for selecting customer orders in the warehouse. Orders are pulled from stock using selection labels which contain product slot numbers, item codes, and item descriptions via the SAE-Scanning System. The selector scans the slot location on the label, travels to the slot using a mid-rider (electric pallet jack), identifies the product, places the label on the case, and arranges selected product on a pallet in delivery stop sequence. The product is shrink-wrapped on the pallet and transported to the designated outbound dock door for loading.

Responsibilities

• Order selecting in the freezer area using the SAE-Scanning system
• Operating forklifts and pallet jacks
• Repetitive lifting of products
• Shrink-wrapping orders and transporting them to the designated area
• Meeting the 200 cases per hour selection standard by the end of the 90-day probationary period

Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Ability to walk extensively and stand for long periods (8-10 hours)
• Ability to bend at the waist, stoop to reach slot locations, and squat to lift heavy items properly
• Normal use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, feet, and legs
• Ability to read slot numbers and product descriptions
• Material handling equipment experience required
• Capability to select orders in all temperature zones
• Forklift and pallet jack experience
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass a drug screen and physical exam
• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

SAE-Scanning or similar systems experience is preferred but not required.
