Responsibilities
- Select mattresses, foundations, adjustable bases, and accessories according to customer orders
- Verify product model, size, quantity, and condition before staging or loading
- Safely load and unload mattresses and related products onto delivery trucks and trailers
- Organize products in trailers to maximize space while preventing damage during transportation
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed
- Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies or shortages to supervisors
- Follow company safety procedures and proper lifting techniques
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, delivery teams, and supervisors to meet daily production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to safely lift and move mattresses weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Dependable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and maneuvering heavy products
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
Work Environment
This position is performed in a warehouse or distribution center and may require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling during peak business periods.
