Responsibilities
- Receiving, filling, and shipping products accurately and efficiently.
- Ensures all products are readily available to be filled and completes necessary paperwork.
- Maintains control of products in reserve stock area or will call area.
- Operates power equipment to locate, put away, stack, and move checked-in products.
- Stocks, fills bin boxes, faces cartons, checks for product mixing, and rotates product where needed.
- Unloads trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or by hand.
- Verifies quantity ordered versus quantity received, checks all shipments against packing lists, and completes necessary paperwork.
- Scans products, prints labels, resolves labeling discrepancies, and completes necessary paperwork.
- Picks products, packs items into cartons, stacks them, enters items into scan gun, and completes necessary paperwork.
- Labels cartons correctly and completes necessary paperwork for hazardous materials.
- Prepares trucks for shipments, palletizes and wraps orders, loads pallets and pieces into trucks, places packing list in last skid, and completes necessary paperwork.
- Maintains current accuracy and efficiency standards and follows all standard operating procedures.
- Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
- Always wears protective equipment according to company policies and procedures.
- Accesses Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as needed and when appropriate.
- Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications as needed.
- Maintains professional communications when interacting with customers and coworkers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 0 – 1 year of related experience and/or training.
- Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
- Previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.
- Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.
