About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Material Handler in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
  • Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
  • Handle daily paperwork in a warehouse environment such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
  • High degree of initiative and accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work within a diverse work environment.

Pay

Weekly hourly pay of $21.00 per hour.
