Warehouse Material Handler

About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring Warehouse Associates in Hazelwood, Missouri. Products being handled include medical supplies and equipment such as RF scanners. Roles support distribution across the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks
• Dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Able to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Able to work using health and safety methods

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Skills

• Excellent accuracy, even under pressure
• High degree of initiative

Pay

Weekly hourly pay: $20.23 per hour, plus $1.00 Shift Differential
