Warehouse Material Handler

About the role

Ryder is hiring permanent full-time Warehouse Material Handlers and Forklift Operators in Dekalb, Illinois. These positions operate in temperature-controlled facilities at 60°F and handle various products including candy.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks
• Handling paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional relationships within all organizational levels
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Qualifications

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
