Warehouse Material Handler

About the role

Ryder is seeking permanent full-time Material Handlers in Hagerstown, Maryland. Warehouse positions are available with a starting pay of $21.00 hourly, plus a $1.50 per hour shift premium.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks
• Dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Able to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Able to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
