Warehouse Material Handler

About the role

Ryder is seeking a Permanent Full Time Storeroom Attendant / Material Handler in Key West, Florida. Warehouse positions are available, with pay at $18.97 per hour for a first shift Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles support distribution across the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks
• Dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• High degree of accuracy, even under pressure
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
• Valid Driver's License and ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications

Qualifications

• Preferred one-year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience

• Technical aptitude including using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Scanners and ability to enter orders into a WMS System
