Warehouse Material Handler - 3rd Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring Temp to Hire Material Handlers in Opa Locka, FL. The positions offer weekly pay and a career opportunity that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Auditing, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
• A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• The ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• The ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to work using health and safety methods.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• Punctual and reliable with a good attendance record.
• Available to work on flexible schedules on various shifts.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour
Additional Pay: $3.50 premium
Flexible scheduling: Friday-Sunday 5:30 pm - 5:30 am
