Warehouse-Material Handler (3rd Shift)

Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform various warehouse duties including, but not limited to:
  • Pulling of product per customer requirements
  • Preparing pulled product for shipment to the customer
  • Processing inbound shipments for appropriate storage
  • Cycle counting and/or physical inventory
• Use of various types of equipment in the performing of these tasks, including, but not limited to:
  • Variety of types of fork lifts, including those that go up to 50ft off the ground
  • Automated storage and retrieval systems
  • Automated warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Variety of computer-based programs (Bill of Ladings, small package manifest, PC type applications, mainframe type applications)
• Record necessary data on appropriate paperwork and/or in computer based program(s)
• Maintain all equipment according to facility maintenance procedures
• Perform all responsibilities in a safe manner observing all safety requirements
• Actively support the Corporate Win Strategy

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to operate various types of fork lifts
• Ability to use measuring devices; tape measurer
• Read and interpret written (English) instructions
• Computer experience a plus

Requirements

• Work 8 hours per day, Monday – Friday (daily and weekend overtime may be scheduled as necessary and could be on a voluntary or mandatory basis, based on business needs)

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds, occasional lifting up to 150 pounds with another employee
• Frequent standing, walking, using hands to handle product, pulling or pushing product/equipment, reaching with hands and arms, bending, twisting, sitting and stooping
• Occasional climbing (stairs and/or ladders)
• Frequent talking or hearing
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent exposure to heat, cold, humidity and dust
• Frequent working on or around moving equipment
• Frequent working with deadlines under pressure and occasionally working alone
