Warehouse Material Handler 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Material Handler in Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers weekly pay and a career path that is committed to safety and employee well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks.
• Handling day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment, including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
• A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• A high degree of initiative and accuracy, even under pressure.
• The ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Adequate attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work flexible schedules on various shifts.

Pay

$17.00 per hour, with a $0.50 increase after 90 days if converted.

Schedule

Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm, every other Saturday.
