About the role

Tech Electronics is a St. Louis-based family-owned company specializing in fire and life safety, security, and communications systems across the Midwest. We serve both large-scale project installations and ongoing service clients, combining technical expertise with a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily material handling: receiving, shipping, staging, cycle counting, and inventory management
  • Maintain meticulous inventory accuracy using our Acumatica ERP system—every transaction matters because our technicians and project teams depend on reliable data
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to root cause (not just adjust and move on)
  • Provide excellent service to field technicians and project teams for will-call and counter transactions
  • Make local deliveries

Requirements

  • Process discipline and attention to detail—You understand why procedures exist and follow them consistently, even when no one is watching
  • Computer proficiency—Comfortable learning new software systems; basic Excel skills; able to navigate digital tools
  • Ownership mindset—You take pride in your work, solve problems independently, and don't need constant supervision
  • Physical capability—Comfortable lifting up to 70 lbs, working at heights with proper safety equipment, and staying active throughout the day

What We're Looking For

We care more about your attitude, aptitude, and work ethic than your resume. Here's what matters most:

  • Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable): Process discipline and attention to detail, computer proficiency, ownership mindset, physical capability
  • Highly Valued (But We Can Work With You): 2-4 years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience, experience with ERP/WMS systems (we use Acumatica—we'll train you), college coursework in technology, business, or related fields (not required but valued)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly compensation commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive health insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off

Who Thrives In This Role

  • Someone who wants more than just a warehouse job—you're looking to build technical expertise
  • Someone who finds satisfaction in getting systems and processes right, not just getting tasks done
  • Someone who asks questions like "Why do we do it this way?" and "How does this component work?"
  • Someone who takes pride in accuracy and follows through on commitments
  • Someone who works well independently but also collaborates effectively with a team
  • Someone who sees this role as a career builder, not just a paycheck

READY TO APPLY?
