Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and pre-production operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, inventory accuracy, and distribution of goods. This role owns inventory control, logistics coordination, team leadership, and safety compliance while driving operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong operational judgment, people management skills, and a data-driven approach to warehouse performance in a food manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse and pre-production operations
- Own inventory accuracy, stock levels, audits, and reporting (inbound/outbound)
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop full-time and part-time warehouse staff
- Create, revise, and enforce SOPs and distribution protocols
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly operational goals are met
- Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and audit-ready warehouse environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and materials handling requirements
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and discrepancy resolution
- Cook with Operations leadership to improve DC metrics and financial performance
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Recommend expenses and capital investments to the Director of Operations
- Interact with customers as needed to resolve delivery or order issues
What You Will Bring

- Proven ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement
- Experience managing inventory variances, transfers, and root cause analysis
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of OSHA and warehouse safety regulations
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
Education & Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of warehouse operations, logistics, or related experience (required)
- 2–4 years of supervisory or people management experience
- Certified forklift operator/trainer (required or ability to obtain)
- Ability to obtain ASCM, CPIM, or related certifications
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Food Safety, Quality & Compliance
All employees are expected to follow company Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory policies. This role requires adherence to GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, SSOP standards, accurate documentation, traceability practices, and audit readiness.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting approximately 50% of the time; standing/walking on warehouse floor up to 50%
- Frequent movement throughout warehouse and office environments
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 80 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Ability to observe details at close range and communicate effectively
