About the role
The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment. Key responsibilities include operational leadership, driving KPIs, managing expenses, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting special projects.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff, manage operating expenses, develop SOPs, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and implement process improvements.
- Team Development: Manage staffing, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning; collaborate cross-functionally with various departments.
- Execution: Drive execution of KPIs related to productivity, service, quality, and cost; partner with HR and Talent Acquisition for full-cycle recruitment; support service delivery and business growth.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations; ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards; enforce safe operating practices.
- Inventory Control: Ensure compliance with customer requirements, handle inventory discrepancies, and maintain high levels of accuracy and quality across all warehouse processes.
- Additional Responsibilities: Support special projects, system implementations, and operational initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or 3PL operations, preferably within a terminal, distribution center, or cross-dock environment.
- 2+ years of leadership experience supervising teams in a warehouse, logistics, or operations setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to drive engagement, accountability, and performance.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements and deliver measurable operational results.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations, 49 CFR, OSHA PIT regulations, and general workplace safety requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification; experience evaluating or certifying operator proficiency is a plus.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret operational data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with evolving processes.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, and technical instructions and translate them into actionable processes.
Qualifications

Pay
$110,000.00 - $115,000.00
Schedule
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
