Job Description
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, finished goods, and supplies. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of warehouse management principles within a plastics manufacturing environment.
- Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and inventory control of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse procedures and processes to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
- Administer corrective actions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, implementing 5S principles and best practices.
- Provide comprehensive forklift training to new and existing personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular evaluations to assess employees forklift operating skills and provide additional training as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- Five years’ experience in warehouse management, preferably within manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other software tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Forklift certification required.
