Warehouse Loader - Night Shift

About the role

As a Loader, you will move pallets of merchandise from staging areas and load proper trailers in a warehouse environment that includes freezer (-20°F to 0°F), perishable (28°F to 60°F), and grocery (50°F to 90°F) sections.

Responsibilities

• Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers and ensure damage is avoided.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Inspect trailer for damage before loading.
• Utilize RF handhelds and/or voice to verify loading of pallets.
• Wrap pallet and stretch wrap.
• Operate battery changing hoist.
• Keep work area clean.
• Complete inspection forms on equipment operated.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certified forklift and pallet jack operator.
• Demonstrates commitment and ability to work safely.
• Shows reliability and maintains satisfactory attendance.
• Produces quality work and meets required productivity/work expectations.
• Ability to operate required materials handling equipment (MHE).

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• Initiative, productivity, quality, safety, and alignment with company values.

Physical abilities

• Never: Balancing, sitting.
• Occasionally: Climbing up to 4 ft (must have fall protection training and use proper equipment), smelling, crawling, kneeling, talking, feeling, fingering, gripping, and carrying up to 60 lbs.
• Frequently: Lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Continuously: Stooping, pivoting, reaching (waist/overhead), standing, walking on carpet/tile/concrete, handling, hearing, seeing, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
