Warehouse Line Trainer (Afternoon)
About the role
As a Line Trainer at Panduit, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing employee performance and ensuring operational excellence. Your responsibilities include identifying and developing training programs, partnering with leaders to assess training needs, and conducting audits to close training gaps.
Responsibilities
- Train non-exempt warehouse employees on processes and technology.
- Partner with leaders to identify appropriate technical training and development needs.
- Ensure TWI is used as a standard for operations training, provide TWI Job Instruction training, and coach employees on creating job breakdown sheets and instructing effectively through the Job Instruction methodology.
- Perform audits to minimize technical training gaps.
- Contribute to the training effectiveness and quality notification process.
- Provide analysis and metrics regarding learning effectiveness.
- Contribute to the recruitment process by carrying out dexterity tests for potential employees.
- Maintain training records.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in current training materials and procedures, and implement modifications.
- Participate in LEAN events and courses to obtain LEAN Level 1 Certification.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification: Training within Industry (TWI) Job Instruction Train the Trainer Certified (Level 1 preferred).
- Experience: Experience utilizing a Learning Management System. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Skills: Ability to manage multiple training priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and collaborate well in a team environment. Experienced in Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operation and training (forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, order pickers, and scissor lifts). Trained new hires and existing employees on PIT safety, proper operation, inspections, load handling, and pedestrian awareness. Delivered hands-on, on-the-floor training to ensure associates follow standard work, safety rules, and quality expectations. Background in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for receiving, picking, inventory moves, cycle counts, and shipment processing.

Pay & Schedule
Compensation: The expected base pay range for this role is $22 - $26 an hour. This role qualifies for a 15% shift differential for afternoon shift.
