About the role
As a Warehouse Labeler Associate (Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm), you will safely and efficiently perform a variety of duties within PBV’s warehouse operations to support internal and external customers. Duties include pulling, loading, unloading, sorting, staging, stacking, building pallets, wrapping, transporting, counting, quality control checks, and handling products, raw materials, and packaging. Responsibilities may vary by facility.
Responsibilities
- Verifies accuracy and quality of products received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
- Performs check-in/check-out duties and maintains records (Bill of Ladings, receivers, pick tickets) according to warehouse standard operating procedures.
- Counts goods returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel (damaged, full, and/or empty).
- Interacts with automation systems, voice pick systems, and warehouse management systems to verify and record products, build pallets, and ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts.
- Identifies machine faults, troubleshoots, corrects system errors, and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
- Safely operates warehouse material handling equipment (forklifts, High-Speed Picking Area (HSPA) Claw, walkie-rider pallet jack, wrappers, etc.) to store, stage, retrieve, replenish, load, or unload products.
- Operates other warehouse machinery, including floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, dock plates, and bay doors.
- Performs safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
- Performs janitorial tasks (e.g., emptying trash, cleaning spills, restacking pallets) to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Security, and other food safety guidelines.
- Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must pass the forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
- At least six (6) months of forklift experience preferred.
- Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to sort, group, and count large quantities of products and materials.
- Must be able to read and understand product labels and load ticket instructions.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with exposure to hot/humid or cold conditions.
