Warehouse Janitorial Associate

Responsibilities

Our warehouse cleaning/janitorial positions perform the following tasks within designated work areas, as assigned at the start of each shift:

• Cleaning bathrooms, break areas (indoor/outdoor), and office areas
• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and taking out trash
• Ensuring all aisles are clean and tidy at all times
• Cleaning bags and other items
• Some deep cleaning as needed
• Following all safety and quality standards
• Other basic cleaning tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move containers up to 49 pounds
• Walking inside and around the facility with high frequency throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours
• Background check and drug test required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety standards, operation and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe chemical handling sheets/documents (generally in English; may be in Spanish when required by state law)
• Proficiency in eye/hand coordination, foot (pedals), manual (chopping, pinching, holding, grasping) and wrist movement (repetitive flexion/rotation)

Schedule

Work hours vary including days, nights, and weekends. Overnight part-time shifts available.

Pay

Starting salary: $15.50 per hour. Progressive pay available in some locations: employees receive a $0.50 increase after the first 90 days and another $0.30 increase after completing 180 days.

Additional information

KBS uses KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software to accurately record employee work hours, manage attendance, complete required training, and distribute important job information. All non-exempt employees must download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out of shifts and breaks. Reimbursement for cell phone use is offered in accordance with applicable local law.
