Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full-Time Inventory Clerk in Hagerstown, Maryland. This role supports warehouse operations with a focus on inventory accuracy and safety.
About the role
Warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the U.S. using state-of-the-art equipment. Products handled include tools and equipment, with potential operation of stand-up forklifts.
Pay
$21.50 hourly plus a $1.50 per hour shift premium. Pay is distributed weekly.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year or more of previous warehouse experience preferred
- One (1) year or more of experience operating forklift equipment preferred
- One (1) year or more of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) experience preferred
- Depending on location, may be required to be equipment certified
- Ability to recognize and read location, date, and product codes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment and self-driven to excel
- Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
- Audit inbound and outbound shipments
- Participate in physical inventories as necessary
- Provide floor support to Operation Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues
- Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with an emphasis on safety
- Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands
- Perform other duties as assigned
