Warehouse Inventory Clerk

About the role

This position performs all functions and procedures related to Inventory, Receiving, Drivers Room, Damage Room, Will Call, Put-away, Replenishment, or any department in Operations based on company needs. Duties may be assigned or adjusted as necessary to cover volume fluctuations or absences in any area.

Responsibilities

• Accurately account for all inventory as it relates to Inventory Control.
• Process Damage Room and Drivers Room functions when temporarily assigned.
• Use radio frequency terminal to record receiving, put-away, and replenishment operations into the computer system.
• Ensure accurate receipt and placement of all products in the Receiving Department; report errors or discrepancies to the appropriate party.
• Perform Will Call functions as needed, including NADC orders, sub-jobber tasks, selecting, and processing orders for hot shot loads.
• Report to work on time and complete all duties efficiently and cooperatively.
• Communicate problems, errors, and safety issues to the Supervisor.
• Work in controlled-temperature environments as low as 0–36 degrees; appropriate clothing will be provided.
• Cross-train into other roles within the organization based on company needs.

Physical demands

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands or arms.
• Lift product from floor position to racks over 5 feet tall, potentially using a stool or small ladder.
• Regularly lift up to 15–20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment

• Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and humid environments.
• Work in freezer and cooler environments with controlled temperatures ranging from 0 to 36 degrees.
• Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
• Moderate noise levels typical of a warehouse setting.
