Warehouse I - Paint Receiving (1st shift)

About the role

Apogee Architectural Metals, a segment of Apogee Enterprises, Inc., specializes in aluminum framing, windows, storefront, curtainwall, and entrance systems, providing integrated capabilities from design through assembly across North America under brands such as Alumicor, EFCO, Linetec, Tubelite, and Wausau. The Warehouse I position prepares orders for freight, express, or parcel post shipments in accordance with shipping practices and requirements under general supervision. The role is based in a manufacturing facility that may involve exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and dust from production processes, with frequent work near machinery with moving parts under strict safety protocols. The facility operates on shift schedules with potential for overtime, including weekends, based on production needs, emphasizing team collaboration and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Basic organizational skills for managing inventory.
• Attention to detail in picking, packing, and labeling products.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
• Operation of basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
• Reads and verifies paperwork, work orders, or work instructions for packaging and labeling accuracy.
• Ensures that all material is packaged and labeled properly per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Must be cross‑trained and able to support all Warehouse I roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
