About the Role

Responsible for working directly with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory by utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Conduct in and out inspections for all equipment leaving the warehouse.
• Assist manager with inventory management at the facility.
• Responsible for inventory of all tools and rigging coming into and leaving the facility.
• Interpret specifications and work orders.
• Requisition, obtain, and distribute supplies and materials.
• Assist with resolving problems with the Warehouse Manager.
• Read, prepare, collect, and maintain reports.
• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
• Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors when on-site.
• Set a personal example of safe behavior.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in one or more construction craft roles as a helper or laborer, or a combination of work experience and training, and a basic knowledge of the craft assigned.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proficient in one or more craft areas.
• Ability to compute basic numbers, read scales, and use simple fractions.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines.
• Developing knowledge in the fabrication, installation, or maintenance of construction components and systems testing of various systems with appropriate tools, and familiarity with any applicable state and federal codes.
• Must have all necessary licenses required for the area the work is to be performed, if applicable.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Must have all necessary tools (see craft-specific Helper Tool List).

Physical Demands

• Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
• May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; use arms, hands, and legs fully.
• Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.
• Stamina to perform tasks repetitively and continuously for several-hour intervals.
• Work in uncontrolled environmental conditions with constant changes in weather and site conditions.
• Moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to safety-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
• Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
• Work at heights and abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights.
• Evaluate information based on measurable standards and see details in objects or drawings; recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings.
• Keep good balance and work at heights.
• See well (either naturally or with correction).
• Hear well (either naturally or with correction).
• Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet.

Schedule

This is a full-time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week. Schedule is subject to project requirements. Travel required up to 90%. Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.

Pay

Compensation starts at $28/hour, commensurate with experience. Competitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase.
