About the Role

Responsible for working directly with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory by utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
  • Perform in and out inspections for all equipment leaving the warehouse
  • Assist manager with inventory management at the facility
  • Maintain inventory of all tools and rigging entering and leaving the facility
  • Interpret specifications and work orders
  • Requisition, obtain, and distribute supplies and materials
  • Assist with resolving problems alongside the Warehouse Manager
  • Read, prepare, collect, and maintain reports
  • Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations
  • Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors
  • Set a personal example of safe behavior
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in one or more construction craft roles as a helper or laborer, or a combination of work experience and training
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proficient in one or more craft areas
  • Ability to compute basic numbers, read scales, and use simple fractions
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines
  • Developing knowledge in fabrication, installation, or maintenance of construction components and systems testing
  • Familiarity with applicable state and federal codes
  • Must have all necessary licenses required for the area the work is to be performed, if applicable
  • Must possess all necessary tools (see craft-specific Helper Tool List)
  • Ability to understand and follow directions

Physical Demands

  • Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions
  • Maintain physical strength and stamina; use arms, hands, and legs fully
  • Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks
  • Stamina to perform tasks repetitively and continuously for several-hour intervals
  • Work in uncontrolled environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., safety-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest)
  • Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas
  • Work at heights and comply with all safety and fall-protection requirements
  • Evaluate information based on measurable standards and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings
  • Keep good balance and work at heights
  • See well (naturally or with correction)
  • Hear well (naturally or with correction)
  • Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet

Schedule

This is a full-time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week. Schedule is subject to project requirements.

Travel

Travel required up to 90%. Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.

Pay

$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
