Warehouse General Laborer

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance, maintenance repairs, and inspections on heavy equipment.
• Remove, repair, and replace parts and components as necessary, while using tools and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform spot checks of equipment to determine its working condition.
• Oil moving parts, clean, and service tools and equipment as directed or specified in the operator's manual.
• Return damaged tools and equipment for repair or replacement.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Drop and spot trailers on company lot, back trailers in and out of receiving dock, service bays, and maneuver trailers in and around tight corners on company property.

Requirements

• Able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis.
• Working in confined spaces.
• Full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools.
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Knowledge of rigging heavy equipment.
• Ability to drop and spot trailers on company lot, back trailers in and out of receiving dock, service bays, and maneuver trailers in and around tight corners on company property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of related experience.
• CDL is a plus.
