About the role
Ryder is seeking a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associate in Port Deposit, Maryland. This position offers competitive pay, including a $20.00 hourly wage and a $1.00 shift differential. The role involves handling retail items and equipment like cherry pickers, order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and more.
Responsibilities
- Pack, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
- Ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
- Help train dock employees on new procedures.
- Ensure the facility is secure at the end of each shift; investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping concerns.
- Perform picking and packing duties, checking for product or container damage.
- Participate in workgroups and other team activities to improve warehouse operations and business functions.
- Perform housekeeping duties for assigned areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of related warehouse experience.
- One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
- Intermediate ability to operate and maintain powered industrial trucks (forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks).
- May be required to operate manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment.
- Intermediate ability to operate and maintain other warehouse/manufacturing equipment.
Qualifications
- Intermediate ability to read and do basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to input data into the WMS computer system.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to operate and self-drive to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
Skills
- Intermediate ability to operate and maintain powered industrial trucks (forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks).
- Intermediate ability to operate and maintain other warehouse/manufacturing equipment.

Pay
