About the role
This position is key to ensure Cardi's WOW customer satisfaction by making sure that product is received accurately and carefully.
Responsibilities
- Receives product coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately, promptly and safely by utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages.
- Physically unloads product from trailer into the warehouse using hands or appropriate machinery.
- Verifies the quantity and description of product received by checking merchandise against the receiving label.
- Inspects incoming shipments, rejects damaged items and appropriately reports / records any damages through appropriate channels.
- Attaches identifying labels to product.
- Safely loads the product to a stock picker and, operating the stock picker, transports the product to storing location (rack) in the warehouse.
- Safely and accurately places the product in an assigned warehouse storing location.
- Scans the product label and rack location label to company’s computer operating system using Radio Frequency inventory control equipment, i.e. bar-coding equipment, handheld device.
- Distributes supplies and other non-warehouse product to appropriate department/personnel.
- Assists in investigation and resolution of distribution and shipping inquiries and complaints from manufacturer vendors, freight companies, stores and customers.
- Answers incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner; direct callers to the appropriate person or take accurate messages as needed.
- Reports promptly errors found to management and assists, if necessary, in resolving the errors.
- Provides feedback to management for possible improvements.
- Aids in training and development of other associates, including on-the-job training for new associates.
- Attends department / company meetings as required.
- Maintains a safe working environment by keeping racks, aisles and work areas organized and clean and conducts walk around safety checks.
- Operates manual and mechanical equipment, such as dollies and/or hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner to move or hoist product to proper area/location.
- Reports promptly any machinery concerns to management.
- Maintains equipment, including changing batteries in stockpickers.
- Performs stock picker inspection daily prior to operation of machinery.
- Provides total customer satisfaction through interaction, cooperation and working with associates and managers in all departments.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Ability to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
- Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
- Basic proficiency in computer operating systems.
- Basic understanding of the warehouse and footprint.
- Ability to operate a stockpicker and Radio Frequency inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices.
- Valid driver’s license required, stock picker certification helpful but not required since will train and certify in house.
Skills
- Physical strength to lift/move objects up to 110 pounds, unassisted, and up to 150 pounds, assisted.
- General understanding of the warehouse and footprint.
- Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment/machinery such as hand trucks, box cutters, a Radio Frequency (bar coding) hand held inventory control device, a stockpicker and some standard office equipment, such as computers, telephone, printers, and copy machines.

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour.
Schedule
Monday to Friday 5am-1:30pm. Department stays later frequently depending on workload.
