About the role

Ryder is hiring Forklift Operating Material Handlers in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Warehouse associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment, handling automotive parts and supplies using sit-down forklifts and tuggers.

Pay

Hourly pay: $20.33 per hour. Overtime pay: $30.50 per hour. Additional pay: $1.25 per hour when assigned to second shift.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license/certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse environment
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
