Warehouse Forklift Operator First Shift

About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Sit Down Forklift Operator in Wilmington, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle daily paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience, preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified, required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, required.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment, required.
• Able to work flexible schedules on various shifts, required.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices, required.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs, required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, required.
• Work using health and safety methods, required.
• Available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts, required.

Benefits

Base pay: $21.00 per hour, with a 3% increase after 1 year. Overtime pay: $31.50 per hour. Additional pay: Shift differentials up to $4 per hour depending on shift. A: Sunday through Tuesday, 5:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Wednesday, 5:00 AM - 10:45 PM
B: Sunday through Tuesday, 5:00 PM - 4:30 PM and Wednesday, 5:00 PM - 10:45 PM
C: Wednesday, 11:00 AM - 4:45 PM and Thursday through Saturday, 5:00 AM - 4:30 PM
D: Wednesday, 11:00 PM - 4:45 PM and Thursday through Saturday, 5:00 PM - 4:30 PM
