Schedule

Days and nights vary, including weekends.

Pay

Starting salary: $18.50 per hour.

Progressive Pay is available at some locations, offering a $0.50 raise after 90 days and an additional $0.30 after 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts or other manual carts within designated work areas.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft.
• Move packaged goods on pallets or in boxes throughout storage facilities.
• Stack goods in the correct storage compartments following inventory control instructions.
• Ensure the safety of loads.
• Stack empty pallets.
• Perform daily equipment checks, such as recharging truck batteries and lubricating equipment.
• Remove machine attachments and waste materials from machines.
• Collect cardboard, plastics, and other debris; load and remove them to designated stacking areas or waste containers.
• Support the cleaning team as needed, which may include:
  • Cleaning building floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Collecting and emptying trash.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a forklift operator.
• General cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and chemical handling documents (typically in English; Spanish versions provided where required by state).
• Valid certification to operate forklifts and ability to successfully complete KBS’s Performance Industrial Trucks (PIT) training.
• Must download and use the KBSPresence mobile time-tracking app on a personal device to clock in/out for shifts and breaks. Reimbursement for cell phone usage is provided in accordance with local laws.
