Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator in Morris, Illinois. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career opportunity in the safest supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Auditing, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• Punctuality and good attendance record.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.

Pay

Weekly pay with an hourly rate of $21.75.

Schedule

Sunday-Wednesday, 5:30am-4pm (flexible to work overtime daily).
