About the role
Ryder is hiring temporary Material Handlers in Apopka, FL. The position offers weekly pay and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Auditing, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
- Dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
- Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
- Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work within a diverse work environment
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
- Possesses a high degree of initiative

Pay
Hourly Pay: $19.95 per hour
Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to third shift
Schedule
- Third Shift: Thursday-Saturday 5:00 pm - 5:00 am
- Every other Wednesday: 5:00 pm - 5:00 am
