Warehouse & Fleet Logistics Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Warehouse & Fleet Logistics Assistant to support our daily operations. In addition to standard receiving and inventory management, this role serves as the primary point of contact for tool control, fleet outfitting, and urgent job-site deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee local warehouse vehicles, tracking annual state/DOT inspections, routine maintenance schedules, and safety checks.
• Operate cargo vans and light-duty pickup trucks, including safe load-securing techniques and navigation to remote job sites.
• Accurately record mileage logs, fuel receipts, VINs, license plate numbers, and equipment asset IDs; promptly report vehicle maintenance needs to management.
• Process incoming materials, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and stage parts for seamless retrieval by service and project teams.
• Perform physical labor related to racking relocation and material handling.
• Coordinate clearly between management, vendors, and field technicians using strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Apply 5S lean warehousing principles to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting company insurance standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification for operating applicable fleet vehicles.
• Demonstrated experience operating cargo vans and light-duty pickup trucks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for logistics documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
