Warehouse & Driver Technician, Non-CDL - Orlando Branch Office

About the role

The Warehouse and Driver Technician position involves splitting time between driving and working in the warehouse. Responsibilities include shipping/receiving orders, quality control, inventory control, and other warehouse logistics. Additionally, drivers ensure timely delivery of goods to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Inbound/Outbound Order Processing
• Accurately receive, ship, and label product, pick-up product from inventoried locations and pack orders efficiently and accurately for delivery to venues and/or other warehouses
• Perform basic quality control (QC) procedures, presentation of equipment and inventory control
• Driving, Delivery, and Pick-up
• Drive Encore owned, leased, or rented vehicles including vans and box trucks with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,001 lbs.
• Maintain set routes and schedules as directed by their supervisor to meet customer expectations
• Loading and unloading of vehicles
• Review orders for accuracy during both delivery and pickup to ensure all items are accounted for
• Able to complete a manual and/or electronic logbook, based on assigned region
• Logistics and Transportation
• Prepare and process shipments to ship small parcel, LTL and via internal fleet
• Operate industrial powered forklifts including (i.e., Sit-down, reach, stock picker, and powered pallet jack)
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of products to the designated locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations

• Perform daily checklists on forklifts and other equipment within the warehouse

• Adhere to all safety protocols and transportation regulations while operating vehicles

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in warehouse environment
• Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) under 26,001 lbs.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s license with minimum of 2 years driving experience
• General knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance
• Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
• Able to drive or sit for long hours at a time
• Able to lift over 50 lbs. independently
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication skills with other team members, site leadership team and internal and external customers
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office
• Experience using an RF based WMS system (preferred)
• Experience operating industrial forklift equipment
• Experience with DOT regulations and telematics electronic ELD logs (preferred)

Work Environment

• Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment
• Work may include irregular hours and on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Drivers must follow all traffic laws and regulations and ensure vehicles are maintained in good working conditions
• Long periods of sitting while driving, as well as loading and unloading materials, involve physical activity
• Safety is paramount, and all driving tasks should be performed with attention to safety protocols

Pay

The hourly pay range for this role is $15.65 - $20.33. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.
